Man's Search for Meaning is a book by Viktor Frankl that chronicles his experiences as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps during World War II, and describes his psychotherapeutic method, called logotherapy. Logotherapy is based on the idea that finding a meaning and purpose in life helps one to overcome suffering and despair. It was first published in German in 1946.
